Default Armor Dying Help

After consulting the dye charts, I was left scratching my head. I'm basically looking for a way to dye my armor a true white (new dye?) or a very light blue. Something along the lines of the stereotypical holy many kinda colors. It'll be applied to 1.5k Kurzick Male Monk armor, and i'm at my wits end with trying combinations. Grey dye and the white dye mixtures have caused the armor to turn a dishearteningly silver color.

If white dye isn't coming up white, then that armor can't be dyed "pure" white. Some armors have a dark/dull material and the colors don't show up like you'd expect. So, either accept what you have or try a different color.

Well Lurid said they tried white dye MIXTURES.... not the white dye...

So if you can afford it (I know I can't... poor nerfed 55ing... poor me), slap on some white dyes, it'll prolly look nice... I got some nice brown armor myself, looks nice in the desert

Thanks for the input guys (?). I'm currently debating whether or not to pick up a set of Tyrian Ascetics, since it fits my theme and I love the color when dyed white or silver.

I think i'll wait though, until I pickup Nightfall.... Are they going to re-release the old armor skins in Nightfall? Namely the Tyrian set.

Just get 15k canthan :P no loin cloths that way....

And I really don't understand the question about the re-release of old armor.... otherwise I'd try and answer it...

Ascetics is the way to go.. pick up runes of attunement too, I use 1 rune that takes 20% of the duration off dazed and deep wound, 1 sup healing, and 3 attunement (+6 energy total). That works REALLY well

You ALWAYS want a minor rune of DF on a monk, unless you are going to use a major or superior.

Technically you could get away with using attunement runes in place of the minor runes for attributes you aren't currently using, but realistically you'll be changing your build a lot so it just makes more sense to use a rune from each attribute.

you can achieve a shimmery white/silvery blue colour by dying your armor silver. this is for the krytan armor skin, but should work quite well for other monk armor with large dye-able surfaces.

I got a light blue from 2 silvers and a blue before the update(on my one and only Wanderers set).
As for white...I hope you find some or find a combo that works for making white..
Otherwise I'm afraid there's much I can say that hasn't been said.

The price of white dye will probably drop a bit over time, once the novelty wears off. If you can't afford it right now, I'd recommend just waiting a little while.
